CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 20-year-old Charlottetown man was arrested and charged with impaired driving on Feb. 2.
While on routine patrol at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Charlottetown police observed an erratic driver on MacRae Drive.
The vehicle was pulled over and the officer determined that the driver displayed signs of impairment by alcohol.
The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
Charlottetown police encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving by calling 911.
