CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The City of Charlottetown is planning some family events for the weekend before Halloween.
The annual Great Pumpkin Walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26. The walk through the woods is free to attend from 11 a.m. to noon at the Beach Grove Nature Trail and will feature hot apple cider and apples. During the event, families will be able to pick a pumpkin for free to carve at home, as long as pumpkins are available.
Costumes are encouraged for two Halloween dances, which will also be free and include games and treat bags.
The dances will be held on Oct. 25 held at the Hillsborough Park Community Centre, 199 Patterson Dr., and Oct. 26 at the West Royalty Community Centre, 1 Kirkdale Rd. Both dances are scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. on their respective nights.
