CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The transgender flag flies at half-mast Wednesday as a crowd gathers at the Coles Building in Charlottetown for the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, it marks the memories of those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia.
Anastasia Preston, a trans advocate who was at Wednesday's flag-raising, has written a letter in The Guardian's editorial page, laying out the many issues facing homeless trans people on the Island.
