CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Training continues to be a vital part of operations for the Charlottetown Fire Department.
Weekly department training in May consisted of company drills, live fire scenarios, a confined space rescue exercise, water supply and hydrant drills, a marina fire exercise and fire boat training.
The department also had five members complete the fire attack course while five of the department’s recruits completed their Hazmat Awareness course.
In June, the department is scheduled to have two members take their boat operator’s course while the fire inspector will be attending fire investigation training in Saint John, N.B.
