CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Failure to observe the rules of the road cost some drivers in Charlottetown some coin in February.

Charlottetown city council regularly releases statistics on tickets written by police for moving violations of a non-speeding nature. These can include running red lights or failure to stop at stop signs.

Six fines were handed out at the intersection of Gerald Street and Orlebar Street, making it the busiest spot for police under this category.

A total of two tickets were also issued at each of the following intersections: Capital Drive and North River Road; Route 2 and the arterial highway; University Avenue and Enman Crescent; University Avenue and Nassau Street.
