CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Coun. Mitchell Tweel wants a review done when it comes to snow removal services in his ward.
Tweel said plows on Palmers Lane and Confederation Street are moving snow to the side of the road, making it dangerous for Parkdale School students and bus drivers.
Tweel asked the public works committee if the same snow removal services that are provided in the downtown core by union staff could be offered on these streets, suggesting using it as a case study in order to make it safer.
Coun. Mike Duffy, chairman of the public works committee, told Tweel that his request was an operational one and should be forwarded to public works management and not discussed during committee meetings.
