CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Charlottetown council met today to finalize the chairs, vice-chairs and members of the city’s 10 standing committees.
The makeup of the committees is based on recommendations of the council advisory committee, which is comprised of Mayor Philip Brown, two councillors and CAO Peter Kelly in a non-voting role.
Council as a whole had the final vote Monday on whether to accept the advisory committee’s recommendations.
Brown will sit on all 10 of the committees.
The committees are:
- Economic development, tourism and events management: Chair: Coun. Kevin Ramsay; vice-chair: Coun. Terry MacLeod; member(s): Coun. Bob Doiron
- Environment and sustainability: Chair: Coun. Terry MacLeod; vice-chair: Deputy Mayor Jason Coady; member(s): Coun. Kevin Ramsay
- Finance, audit and tendering: Chair: Coun. Terry Bernard; vice-chair: Coun. Greg Rivard; member(s): councillors Bob Doiron and Mike Duffy

- Parks, recreation and leisure activities: Chair: Coun. Mitchell Tweel; vice-chair: Coun. Terry Bernard; member(s): Coun. Julie McCabe
- Planning and heritage: Chair: Coun. Greg Rivard; vice-chair: Deputy Mayor Jason Coady; member(s): Coun. Alanna Jankov
