The Charlottetown Airport Authority is looking for the public’s help to decide its future priorities.

The airport has kicked off a process to create a new long-term master plan to 2040 and will host a public meeting seeking input at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Gate 3.

Consultants AirBiz will host a question and answer session followed by a reception.

“This master plan will serve as a long-term, guiding document which will map out the next 20 years of development for the Charlottetown Airport,” said airport CEO Doug Newson.

The final plan will be released in December.

Every 10 years, Transport Canada requires the airport authority to submit a long-term master plan.
More than 370,000 passengers are served every year at the airport, which generates more than $115 million in total economic activity in P.E.I.

Islanders do not have to attend Tuesday’s meeting to have some say in the master plan. They can also fill out a survey at Flypei.com/masterplan.

Survey participants can enter a draw to win a $250 Visa gift card and shirt. The survey will be open until June 7.
