Police have arrested a 39-year-old Charlottetown woman after an apartment building fire on April 5.
Charlottetown police said the woman has been charged with arson and disregard for human life.

Police and the Charlottetown Fire Department evacuated 20 people who were inside the building after responding to a fire call around 7:15 a.m. on April 5.
Police said an officer who suffered smoke inhalation while evacuating the building is recovering and will return to duty soon.
The woman was released from custody with conditions and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
