A Charlottetown man who allegedly assaulted police officers and a bystander after kicking down Green party signs had his case adjourned Thursday.

Robert Dwayne Kelly, 46, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown on 21 charges, including assaulting a police officer, uttering threats and resisting arrest.

Kelly, who has been in custody since his arrest on March 31, had the matter adjourned until May 2.

He is alleged to have kicked and pushed down Green party signs along University Avenue before resisting arrest after bystanders tried to stop him.
