Canada's Food Island gift cards are being restocked at all Mel's Convenience and Murphy Pharmacy locations across P.E.I. and Co-op stores in Tignish, O'Leary and Souris on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The gift cards will continue to be sold at a 20 per cent discount while supplies last or until Nov. 15. Canada’s Food Island gift cards will be sold at full price after Nov. 15.

The Canada's Food Island gift card program was launched on September 28, 2020. The first release of gift cards sold out within a week, so this restock is expected to sell out fast. There are currently over 175 merchants who accept the gift card Island-wide and the merchant directory continues to grow daily.

Over the last month, consumers have been using Canada's Food Island gift cards. As of Oct. 27, there have been more than 1,400 gift card transactions across the Island.

Accommodations across P.E.I. participated in the gift card program's Stay & Savour promotion which offered packages to entice Islanders and short-haul travellers to stay longer and save through gift cards. The Stay & Savour promotion will continue to be offered by accommodation partners until March 2021.
