To say this year hasn't been easy for many might be the understatement of the century. In the wake of the mass shooting in Portapique, Nova Scotia, a global pandemic, social isolation and political and economic uncertainty, there's a lot about 2020 that weighs heavily on our hearts. That's why we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight and celebrate those local heroes who went out of their way to make their communities, and this year, a little bit brighter.
Every day until Dec. 31, we will be showcasing some folks in the region, from Happy Valley-Goose Bay to Yarmouth and everywhere in between, who we think deserve the title hero.
