CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The 16th annual Harry MacLauchlan Memorial Golf Tournament, presented by Fair Isle Ford, raised more than $61,000 in support of priority medical equipment for the QEH.
Thirty-four teams participated in the annual event, held June 12 at Belvedere Golf Course.
Proceeds helped fund two duodenoscopes for the endoscopy suite, which is a provincial service only offered at the QEH in Charlottetown.
Specialists use the scopes as part of a day-surgery procedure treating conditions such as tumours, gallstones, inflammation and infection.
The winning team was Kreative Acres, made up of Chris Linzel-Waddell, Lucas Arsenault, Colin Younker and Thane Hansen.
Next year’s event will take place on June 10.
