NORTH RUSTICO, P.E.I. — The Green Party of Canada will run a candidate in P.E.I.’s Malpeque riding in the upcoming federal election after a recent nomination event in North Rustico.

The Green Party of Canada - P.E.I. announced Anna Keenan won the three-way race to represent the federal riding.

Jo Ann Roberts, the deputy leader of the Green Party of Canada, was at the event.

“There are many Canadians across the country who look towards P.E.I. for inspiration when it comes to making real political change given the recent success enjoyed here by the provincial Green party,” said Roberts.

Jeremy Stiles, CEO of Green Party of Canada – Malpeque riding, was pleased with the voter turnout at the July 5 event.

“We had over 100 people in attendance and many more voting online for the Green Party of Canada’s nomination,” said Stiles.

The three candidates vying for the nomination were Keenan, Randy Gass and Perry Williams.
