CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Time is running out for one lucky winning ticket holder to become a millionaire.

On Dec. 22, 2018, the Lotto 6/49 draw included a $1‐million guaranteed prize win that was sold in Charlottetown.

To date, the prize remains unclaimed and will expire on Sunday, Dec. 22.

Since the draw, Atlantic Lottery has been raising awareness that the prize is outstanding, including through social media and news releases; and is again reminding players to look for any tickets they may not have checked yet.

Things to know:

  • Lotto 6/49 ticket worth $1 million sold in Charlottetown on Dec. 22, 2018 still hasn’t been claimed
  • The winnings are attached to the guaranteed numbers on the lotto ticket, not the main numbers
  • The ticket holder has until the end of the day on Dec. 22, 2019 to have their ticket checked
  • If it goes unclaimed the money will be redistributed to future prizes

Ensuring that players receive the prizes they are entitled to is of utmost importance for Atlantic Lottery.

Ultimately, the prize amount of $1 million, if not claimed, will be returned to players in the form of bonus prizes and special draws.

Anyone who believes they may have purchased the winning ticket can call Atlantic Lottery’s Customer Care Centre at 1‐800‐561‐3942 Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to midnight.
