Kensington man sentenced for threatening to kill police officers

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 29-year-old Kensington man has pleaded guilty to two counts of threatening to kill police officers and at least one of their families, and one count of defrauding the Bank of Montreal of money not exceeding $5,000.

Matthew John Rice was sentenced to serve 25 days in jail and 12 months of probation

The charges are from Dec. 5, 2016 and Feb. 6, both in Summerside.
