A 41-year-old Kensington man has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime following a police vehicle stop on Queen Street late in the night of Nov. 10.

Charlottetown police found the vehicle was bearing a stolen license plate.

The license plate had been stolen from Moncton, N.B. in September.

Further investigation led to the discovery that the vehicle itself was also reported stolen in September from the Springhill, P.E.I. area.

The driver has also been charged with one count of breach of probation.

The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
