CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The next presentation in the Island Studies Lecture Series, set for Tuesday in Charlottetown, will feature Joseph Glass speaking on the life and times of Leo Frank.
The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the faculty lounge of UPEI’s SDU Main Building. All are welcome.
Hidden away in Stratford, a small municipal park is named in memory of this former resident, Frank.
In 1915, Frank established the Rosebank Fur Farms, a profitable business and showcase for black silver fox ranching as featured in many postcards, stereoscope cards, articles in North America newspapers and a motion picture.
Although the ranch ceased operations in 1944, he and his wife lived at Rosebank until 1958.
