Lornie Hughes is seeking the councillor’s seat for Ward 9 (Stonepark) in Charlottetown’s upcoming municipal election.

Hughes, a lifelong resident of the capital city, has worked at Holland College for almost 20 years in a variety of management positions. He is currently the program manager for the Health and Community Studies Department.

He completed a bachelor of business administration degree and a master of education degree at UPEI.

Hughes, who raises three children with his wife, Amy, has been an active volunteer and supporter within both school and youth sport associations. He also sits on a national health education board.

“I was raised in a family that encouraged community and civic involvement,” he said.

“As a proud resident, I can offer integrity and collaboration. I am excited about the possibility to be a strong voice for Ward 9 Stonepark.”

Municipal elections across P.E.I. are scheduled for Nov. 5.
