SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Chantal Marie Dulude, 43, of Edmonton, Alta., has pleaded guilty to a number of charges under the Criminal Code.

The charges include two counts of theft of property less than $5,000, including a wallet and merchandise from Sobeys; two counts of failing to attend court as required, one count of willfully attempting to obstruct justice and one count of using stolen credit cards knowing they were obtained by an offence.

All of the charges are from between December 2018 and January 2019 and took place in Alberton and Summerside.

Dulude was sentenced to spend 39 days in jail but received credit for six days she has already spent in custody. She must also serve 24 months of probation and pay restitution on some of the items she stole.
