CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Charlottetown firefighters responded to 64 calls in September, which was an increase over the same month last year.
District 1 responded to 45 calls including two dumpster fires and one water rescue.
In District 2, firefighters responded to 19 calls, including one mulch fire.
False alarms were the most common type of call in both districts.
In total, there were 22 more calls in September compared to the same period in 2017.
