CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A Charlottetown police officer suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday.
The officer, who was travelling alone, was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons, says Deputy Police Chief Brad MacConnell.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Charlottetown man in his 20s, was charged with failing to obey a traffic control device after allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign on the corner of Passmore Street and Queen Street.
MacConnell says the police car received considerable damage and may be a write-off.
He was not sure as to the extent of damage to the other vehicle.
