Each year, the Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom chooses three editorial cartoons from around the world for special honours on May 3, World Press Freedom Day. Here are the top cartoons and a selection of the others that will receive awards of excellence for exploring press freedom themes.

This year, there were 370 entries representing 29 countries.
