Rogers Sportsnet will air three classic Canucks games on Saturday, including the last home game for the Sedin twins and Game 7 from the 1994 Stanley Cup Final.

The epic game from the Rangers vs. Canucks series will air at 2 p.m. PT on Saturday on Sportsnet One. At 4 p.m., the action will switch to Sportsnet Pacific, with the Canucks’ thrilling five-goal comeback win over the Detroit Red Wings from last October.

Beginning at noon on Saturday, the Canucks for Kids Fund will begin a week-long 50/50 raffle online, ending at 9 p.m. on April 11.

The jackpot will include $40,000 from unclaimed jackpots from 2019-20 preseason Canucks games. Tickets will be available online at canucks.com/online5050 .

Saturday night was scheduled to be the final game of the 2019-20 season, with the Canucks hosting the Vegas Golden Knights. As is tradition, the player awards would be announced as well as it being fan appreciation night.

With that in mind, the Canucks are launching a Fan Hero Awards program, asking for nominations of people that “celebrate the passion, dedication and support of everyday heroes and the personal contributions they’ve made in communities throughout B.C.”

The categories, drawing inspiration from the Canucks’ team awards, are:

Unsung Hero: Essential Services Worker

Never looking for attention, but always looking out for others, these individuals are keeping our communities operational through their tremendous efforts and dedication

Best Defenceman: Health Care Worker or First Responder

Every day, these individuals are putting the needs of others first, standing on the front line, working tirelessly to keep us all safe

Most Exciting Player: Local Small Business or Community Group

Jumping at the opportunity to help, these local businesses or groups have rallied together in their communities to provide aid and support, in any way possible

MVP: Any Outstanding Individual Making a Difference

Everyday heroes, taking time out of their day to help others whenever they can. During these unprecedented times, they have stepped up to the challenge to help others wherever possible.

The nomination window opens on Saturday and closes on April 13. Nominations can be submitted at canucks.com/fanheroawards .

Winners will be recognized for their acts of service by the team using their social media channels and will receive a customized Canucks sweater.
