ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is confirming the death of a two-year-old child at St. John's international airport on Tuesday.
The Saudia Arabian Airlines flight carrying the child was forced to make an emergency medical in St. John's.
Police say the child died after being taken off the plane.
No further information is being released at this time. The RNC continues to work with the province's Chief Medical Examiner on the investigation.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says a passenger aboard an international flight that made an emergency medical landing in St. John's has died.
Saudi Arabian Airlines flight 35 was diverted to St. John's International Airport just after 11 a.m. and touched down about 30 minutes later.
Emergency responders pronounced the passenger deceased upon arrival.
Police are not able to release any details on the age or gender of the deceased.
The RNC is working with the office of the province's Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
