An Ottawa man has been charged with child luring after police in Southern Ontario discovered that explicit digital material was being sent to a 14-year-old in Peel Region.
The Ottawa Police Service’s internet child exploitation unit launched an investigation in August after being informed by Peel Regional Police about the suspicious activity.
Ottawa police executed a search warrant Tuesday at an Orleans residence and seized several digital devices belonging to a male suspect.
A 40-year-old man from Ottawa has been charged with three counts of child luring and one count of making sexually explicit material available to a child. He’s to make his initial court appearance Wednesday.
