CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, N.L. — One person was injured when a bus full of workers from Long Harbour went off the road in the middle of Thursday’s snowstorm.
The incident happened on Peacekeepers way at the Foxtrap access road just before 8 p.m. when it appears the bus went up a ramp on the opposite side of the road and drove into a ditch.
Firefighters from the Conception Bay South Fire Department had to cut away part of the bus door to free the passengers as the bus was tipped on its side, jamming the door shut.

There were fifteen people on board, including the driver.
The injuries to the passenger were not considered serious.
Roads were snow-covered and slippery and visibility was hampered by blowing snow.
Another bus was sent to retrieve the workers.
