One man escaped serious injuries after the car he was driving left the road and overturned in Topsail early Sunday morning.
The crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Topsail Road in the area of Old Topsail Hill and left the car on its roof in a ditch.
It appears the westbound vehicle hit the shoulder of the road on one side and then swerved across the road into the ditch.
The man was checked on scene by paramedics from the Conception Bay South Fire Department and Fewer’s ambulance but he did not go to hospital.
The vehicle was extensively damaged and the RNC is investigating.
