New preliminary hearing date assigned to Eskasoni man

SYDNEY, N.S. — SYDNEY, N.S. — A new preliminary hearing date has been set for an Eskasoni man charged with robbery.
Larry David John Stevens, 37, is also charged with assault with a weapon (a tree branch), possession of stolen property (a cellphone and medications), and breaching a court order.
The offences are alleged to have occurred in Sydney on July 25.
Stevens, who continues to be on remand, is now scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on the charges Feb.24.
