INGONISH BEACH, N.S. — RCMP in northern Cape Breton are investigating three possible cases of arson.

Ingonish Beach RCMP along with fire departments from Ingonish Beach and Ingonish were called to a structure fire on Beach Road Saturday in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

The structure housed bathrooms and a canteen and was located near Ingonish Beach. It was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene and is believed to be suspicious in nature.

Later that day, investigators learned of other structures damaged by fire at the Warren Lake and Black Brook park facilities.

The three incidents are believed to be linked and the investigation is ongoing. There were no reports of injury as a result of the fires.

RCMP and Parks Canada are requesting assistance from the public to help identify anyone involved in these incidents. RCMP can be contacted at 902-285-2021.
