BAIE VERTE, N.L. — A 24-year-old woman from Corner Brook has died and a 25-year-old man from La Scie sustained minor injuries in a single side-by-side all-terrain vehicle accident on Bear Cove Cabin Road near the community of Westport, White Bay on Sunday.
Baie Verte RCMP was notified of the accident just before 2 a.m. The two people were taken to hospital where the woman, who was driving the ATV, succumbed to her injuries. The man was released from the hospital later in the day.
Police said in a release that neither were wearing helmets or seatbelts. The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
