BORDEN-CARLETON – Occupational Health and Safety officers are investigating the sudden death of a 62-year-old Borden-Carleton area man.

Douglas MacKinnon, a local mechanic and used car salesman, was working at his shop at his residence late in the evening of March 15 when the death occurred.

Laura Steeves, the communications co-ordinator for the Workers Compensation Board, confirmed that an accident took place in a workplace on Thursday, March, 15 and is being investigated.

RCMP and OHS officers were at the scene of the incident shortly after it occurred.

The RCMP has yet to release more details.
