Charlottetown Water and Sewer Utility has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory that was in place following a significant watermainbreak on the Belvedere Golf Course in a Friday, Oct. 18 news release.

Water quality has been confirmed, is safe for consumption, and no longer needs to be boiled, said Jennifer Gauvin, communications officer for the City of Charlottetown.

In the release, Gauvin said the area impacted included about 20-25 properties at the Belvedere Golf Course, Dowling Lane, and Woodward Drive from Kensington Road to Donwood Drive.

Gauvin said the utility thanks the public for their patience and cooperation during the precautionary boil water advisory and work on the watermain.
