Four Beaujolais Nouveau wines are now available in liquor stores in P.E.I.

The production of Beaujolais Nouveau wines began as a tradition in France’s Beaujolais region when local wine makers developed a quick maturing wine to enjoy with workers while celebrating the completion of the grape harvest.

The annual release of Beaujolais Nouveau wines has become an international event with these products now accounting for more than one third of the worldwide wine sales from France’s Beaujolais region.

The Beaujolais Nouveau wines released this week are Momessin Beaujolais Nouveau, Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau, Jean Loron Beaujolais Nouveau Coccinelle and Domaine Piron Beaujolais Villages Nouveau.

Due to the limited availability of these wines, not all listings will be available in each store.

P.E.I. Liquor has ensured that each of its 17 corporate retail outlets will carry at least one of these offerings and encourages interested customers to shop early to avoid disappointment.
