A 48-year-old woman pleaded guilty of altering her prescription to get additional painkillers.

Rochelle Helena O’Brien, 48, pleaded guilty in provincial court Monday to changing her prescription for Dilaudid from 12 to 42 pills to acquire the medication at a pharmacy in Cornwall on Oct. 19.

She also altered a prescription for morphine to read 28 tablets rather than the 20 prescribed by her doctor. She attempted to use the prescription Oct. 21 at the same pharmacy.

She will be sentenced May 15.
