This Christmas in Georgetown will be a magical one as the Kings Playhouse is ready to showcase some wonderful events for the whole family to enjoy.
On Tuesday, Dec. 18, a special community Christmas concert will be presented. Local musicians and entertainers of all ages will be strutting their stuff on the stage.
Those who like comedy will want to attend a special comedy night on Dec. 21 in the hall. Island-born and bred comedian Justin Shaw is coming to Kings Playhouse for an evening of comedy. Offering his off-beat (and often peculiar) perspective of the world, Shaw is bringing home-spun tales of family, friends and, unfortunately, romance. Join him in the casual setting of the beautiful hall, for a side-splitting evening of humour.
For those still looking for a great Christmas gift for the family, Dufflebag Theatre Company will bring the classic fairy-tale of “Beauty and The Beast” to life in its signature, fun-filled fashion: using audience members as the stars. This incredible troupe will not disappoint and is sure to be a hit with all ages. On Dec. 30, Dufflebag Theatre will be bringing “Snow White” to the Harbourfront Theatre for a 2 p.m. show, and then they’ll present “Beauty and Beast” at Kings Playhouse at 6:30 p.m. For more information on the Harbourfront Theatre show, visit harbourfronttheatre.com.
