To celebrate the band is teaming up with the Museum Pieces for a special show tonight at the Trailside Music Café

One of Charlottetown's favourite bands, Racoon Bandit, is celebrating 10 years as a group this fall.

To mark a decade of Island indie-rock, Racoon Bandit will be playing today at the Trailside Music Cafe' & Inn in Mount Stewart in support of its recently released split singles and videos for “Tattered Star and Modern Life”.

The group is comprised of Fraser McCallum, Roger Carter, Adam Gallant and Colin Buchanan.

In the vein of East Coast stalwarts Sloan and Thrush Hermit, the Bandits share song-writing and vocal duties, bringing a varied sound and dynamic performance to both their records and the stage.

Also playing tonight will be popular Halifax band the Museum Pieces.

"This will be one awesome night of music." says owner Pat Deighan.

"Both of these groups put on amazing live shows. To see them in the intimate atmosphere of the Trailside is a real treat."

Tickets are available at Trailside.ca, Back Alley Music or call 902-394-3626. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with music starting at 8 p.m.
