Members of the Benevolent Irish Society and the general public are invited to drop in at the BIS Friday.

Those in attendance will have the chance to meet Jim Kelly, Irish ambassador to Canada, and to greet this year’s UPEI Irish language instructor, Gormlaith Maynes.

Maynes will provide information on her course, Introduction to Irish Gaelic 1, which students may audit or take for credit, and is free for seniors.

The meet and greet takes place 4-6 p.m. at 582 North River Rd. in Charlottetown.
