SYDNEY, N.S. — The Sydney Breton Quilters formed in 1985 and had at one time upwards of 35 members but is now down to just five. The quilters meet once a week at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design on Charlotte Street in Sydney to work on individual projects — and sometimes group projects — and don’t have an instructor, but simply help each other through the sharing of talents, ideas and advice.
The group says they’d welcome new members at any time and anyone interested can stop by the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design any Monday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to join in or find out more information about what they’re all about.
