There will be four Atlantic concert dates on the Randy Bachman-Burton Cummings cross-Canada reunion tour.

Their Halifax show will be at the Scotiabank Centre on July 15 and tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Bachman and Cummings, formerly with The Guess Who, are reuniting for the first time in over a decade. Their tour called Together Again, Live in Concert, will feature music from The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive and Cummings’ solo career.

“We’re the two guys who wrote and sang these songs and I think people know that and want to hear the real thing.”

Other Atlantic dates include July 14 in Moncton’s Avenir Centre, July 17 in St. John’s Mile One Centre, and July 19 at the Credit Union Place in Summerside.

After a successful four-year Guess Who reunion, the pair decided in 2005 to tour under their own names.

“We’re the two guys who wrote and sang these songs and I think people know that and want to hear the real thing,” said Cummings in a release. “Bachman-Cummings are out there delivering that. Not all artists are lucky enough to have that kind of staying power. As Bachman-Cummings,Randy and I are able to touch Guess Who, BTO and Cummings solo stuff. The response from audiences was even more than we could ever have hoped for.”

To coincide with the tour, a limited-edition box set will be released in June 2020. The seven-CD or seven-LP set called Bachman Cummings Collection will include five Guess Who albums as well as material from both Bachman Turner Overdrive and Burton Cummings.

“We are having more fun now,” Bachman said in the release. “There is a lot of love and respect for each other. Working together with Burton again musically is like riding a bike, easy and fun, but with everyone clapping along as we do it.”

Tickets for the Halifax show will be available at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office at the Scotiabank Centre on Friday, at participating Atlantic Superstore outlets, by calling (902) 451-1221 / 1-877-451-1221 and online at ticketatlantic.com, evenko.ca and livenation.com.
