A portrait of Water and mane in St. John's

Const. Jason Coombs of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Mounted Unit poses with Castle, a four-year-old Clydesdale, in the parking lot next to Sassy Tuna Studio on the west end of Water Street in St. John's on Saturday. Julie Lewis, owner of the studio, had asked Coombs to come down with Castle to giver her students an opportunity to sketch a “classical renaissance animal.” Coombs said the Mounted Unit tries to reach as many different members of the community as possible and was happy to help. Pictured here is 17-year-old Ravel Rajan, a student with Lewis for the past six years.
