Colonel Gray High School 

Meet the teacher night will be Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. Parents are asked to meet first in the cafeteria, then circulate, following the student’s timetable; meeting each teacher in their classrooms.

School pictures will be taken Sept. 19 and 20, using the cafeteria stage.

St. Thomas University will be visiting Student Services at lunch time on Sept. 25, while University of Calgary will be at Colonel Gray High School, on the same day, after school.

Colonel Gray’s Terry Fox Run will be held on Sept. 26.

School Goals Day is Sept. 27, with no classes for students.

Morell Regional High School

As everyone enters the third week of school, it is business as usual at Morell Regional. Students have settled into classes and teachers and administrators are pleased with how well things are progressing.

Parents of Grade 9 students are encouraged to attend the annual Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Administration is also available to answer any questions about school procedure, student attendance, activities and course content.

The student council is hosting its annual Marlin Drive-In event on Thursday, Sept. 19. Students are encouraged to sign up for a private movie showing at the Brackley Drive-In. Transportation to and from the event is provided by the school.

The annual principal's Honor Roll and Recognition Dinner will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26. Invitations will be distributed shortly. The event provides teachers and parents the opportunity to recognize the contributions students have made.

Students and parents are reminded to pay all student and sports fees. These funds go to supporting our programs and events.

Westisle Composite High School

Westisle welcomes all students back to the 2019-2020 school year.

The Terry Fox run will be Friday, Sept. 20.

There is no school on Friday, Sept. 27, due to school goals. Life Touch photos will be at the school to take photographs on Oct. 4.

Parents and guardians are invited to join West isle’s Parents 2019-2020 group on Facebook. It has our most up-to-date information on news, cancellations, delays, sports information as well as updates. It’s also on the website, https://westislewolverines.wordpress.com/.

Parents of Grade 12 students are invited to be part of the Grade 12 Remind group, which will send out reminders for application deadlines, scholarship deadlines, student loan presentations and other information that will benefit our Grade 12s. To start receiving messages, ask student to text @westisle1 to 581-333-9812. 

The breakfast program will be up and running soon and we are looking for some volunteers for the morning.  If you are available and would like to help out, call 902-853-8626.

Appreciation is expressed to the 2018-2019 student council and parent council for their work on the new parking lot.
