A full day online conference focused on building collaborative and psychologically safe workplaces will be hosted from P.E.I. on June 10.

The keynote presentation will be offered by Stephen Carpenter, senior legal advisor for Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) of P.E.I., and will focus on what workplaces need to know about the Island’s new workplace harassment regulations to prepare for compliance when the regulations come into effect July 1.

The theme of building collaborative and psychologically safe workplaces will be threaded through each of the four workshops.

Carpenter will also share information about Canada's national standard for psychological health and safety in the workplace.

Deborah Smith Cook of Atheseus, a management consulting firm in Washington, D.C., will share her expertise on the key elements of effective collaboration with remote teams. Wendy MacIntyre of resolveHR will lead a workshop on rebuilding workplace trust in the aftermath of the coronavirus (COVID-19 strain) pandemic. And mediator and conflict trainer Kirstin Lund will share best practises for preventing conflict and building collaborative workplaces.

During this free conference, which is supported by a WCB P.E.I. grant, participants will have the opportunity to engage and connect with presenters and other conference participants.
Individuals and work teams can register free for the conference at collaborationschool.com/conference2020.
