CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Buddhist monks and volunteers were at the Confederation Court Mall in Charlottetown recently where they sold goods and collected monetary donations as part of the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society’s End Hunger in P.E.I. campaign.

From left are Venerable Jason Venerable Dan, volunteers Jeanna MacIsaac, Lori Fagan and Lynda Andrews and Venerable Lian.

The money collected goes to create food boxes for those in need across the province.

The monks have sent out more than 1,500 food boxes in the past two years.

To apply for a food box or to make a donation, go the About Monks Facebook page. Another sale is planned for early next year.
