Mike Pendergast, Tom McSwiggan set to host summertime ceilidhs in P.E.I.

Two summer ceilidhs are getting set to kick off for their 22nd season of entertainment this week.

A ceilidh is held at the Malpeque Women’s Institute Hall, Route 20, Malpeque, every Wednesday from June 26 to Aug. 28 

Then on Thursdays, from June 27 to Sept. 26, a ceilidh will be held at the Stanley Bridge Women’s Institute Hall, Route 6 and 224, Stanley Bridge. Both ceilidhs are 7:30-9:30 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m.

Hosted by Mike Pendergast and Tom McSwiggan, with fiddler Andy Doucette, singer and guitarist Shane Pendergast and step dancer Veronica Murray, the ceilidhs feature Celtic and Maritime music, fun and stories.

In addition, Island strawberries and ice cream will be available at intermission.

Admission is $15 with children under 12, $5. For information, call 902-836-4310.
