By now, your home office workspace has been defined, but is it what you really want?

Laura Bath, the founder of storage company, Peg & Board, provides these ideas to help all of you who are new to working at home.

1. Flexibility is key: “We are all well aware of how quickly circumstances can change, be it working from home, having to share that space or a growing family. Something you can easily re-configure for different requirements will make it last longer.”

2. Wall space: “Utilize your walls. There is no denying that space is always something that the majority of us would like more of, especially while spending more time at home and having to very quickly create some kind of working space. Shelving and storage can be a great way to utilize your wall space in a way that won’t eat into your floor space.”

3. Room for two: “In a shared office, create clear separate storage spaces to make it easier to keep track of your own things and avoid arguments.”

4. The space above the door: “Add a shelf above the door to store books or files to create a little bit more storage space.”

5. Plants: “We all know the importance of plants for our health, so make sure you build space for plants in your home office too.”

6. Colour: “Choosing a single colour theme for your furniture and accessories can make your room look more organized, even if it isn’t.”
