Following are brief descriptions of the classes:

Sleep - How to get your eight hours in, or at least feel like you did will discuss reasons people have a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. It also explores strategies to help get more out of sleep time. Yoga may help with getting to sleep and staying asleep or help ease back to sleep. A relaxing, fun workshop, it includes a short yin yoga practice, a yoga nidra practice and other relaxing practices to do at home. Richman, an Island based yoga instructor for 40 years, credits yoga and meditation practices for enriching her life with a great sleeping practice. All participants receive an information packet, pre-registration is requested by the organizer.

Ear Worms - Music, Mantra and Motion will feature chanting, mantra and vibration with a double gong.

"A song in your heart can give you a boost all day,” said Richman. “Finding your way to joy can be as simple as listening to or chanting mantra. Repetitive sound vibrations have been used for thousands of years for devotional practice. In everyday life they release tension, smooth worry lines, boost self-esteem and do so much more.”

The workshop will explore the benefits of repetitive sound vibrations in the sacred languages of yoga English and perhaps a surprise or two.

Valentine’s Day - Let’s make it last all year! will feature mantra, motion, meditation, mudra and features deep relaxation with two symphonic gongs. The vibration of the gongs moves through the body helping to release stress in the body and mind.
