CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The City of Charlottetown has cancelled the “Where the Wild Things Are in the City”  scheduled for Oct. 12 due to the wet weather this fall.

The event was to happen at the J. Frank MacAulay Park off Spring Lane on Saturday.

The project, focused on managing storm water in the J. Frank MacAulay Park, will begin again in the spring.  A green storm water management infrastructure, called a bioswale, will be created to slow the flow of storm water. The new bioswale will allow the storm water to soak back into the soil and reduce flooding as well as increase biodiversity in the park attract wildlife. Overall, the project will hopefully improve the appearance of the area.
