MOUNT STEWART, P.E.I. — Feb. 9 will find Phase II and Friends performing in one of their favourite venues – St. John's United Church in Mount Stewart.

This warm, inviting space sees people gather for concerts throughout the year, and for 2020, just a few days before Valentine's Day, the church will host a musical performance celebrating love songs from seven decades.

"The list of popular songs written since 1950 is endless," says Gerry Hickey, front man for Phase II and Friends. It's not a matter of having enough songs for any particular show, but rather choosing the best of those available."

Phase II and Friends are known for their high-energy performances and their broad repertoire. The audience may expect to hear Elvis tunes from the 1950s as well as modern songs by Ed Sheeran and Johnie Reid.

Keila Glydon will do a great rendition of Dusty Springfield's I Only Want to Be With You, while Jeanie Campbell will offer a unique song called I Hope You Dance. The set list will also include a mix of rock ’n’ roll and country love songs.

Admission is at the door.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. Fudge and water will aso be available.
