CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — An annual one-day festival and open-air pedestrian market won’t be taking place in Charlottetown this fall.

Farm Day in the City is the latest event to be cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a Facebook post, Discover Charlottetown said it’s with “sad hearts” they will not be able to move forward with the event this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

“Because of its popularity and huge attendance (yay!), it would be quite difficult to monitor and encourage physical distancing on such a large scale.”

The annual festival brings farmers, producers, restaurants, crafters and artisans together in celebrating the Island’s Buy Local culture.

Next year’s event will take place on Oct. 3, 2021.

Happy Tuesday, friends! It is with sad hearts that we announce we will not be able to move forward with our annual Farm...
